Pink Ink Thanks: Wright Hair & Co.

Honestly, I've been procrastinating on writing this blog post.  Not because we are not grateful to this phenomenal hair salon but because we are SO  grateful to this phenomenal hair salon.  I just didn't know how to express our real sense of gratitude!  I remember when Rita and I were planning out what Face of Pink Ink would look like this year, we evaluated all of the amazing relationships we formed last year with various businesses and immediately, without question, we said "WRIGHT HAIR & CO."  

Dodie - the owner of Wright Hair & Co - did not even bat an eye when we asked her if she wanted to take part.  She did not know the details nor did she know the expectations we had of her she just said "YES".  She believed in us and what we want to achieve for women.  To top it off, she supplied us with three other stylists from her salon AND allowed us to hold the London photoshoots in her salon.  Again, she did all of this before knowing anything she was going to get in return.

Sometimes in this business, the makeup artists and hairstylists are the behind the scenes people and the hype goes to the photographer and model BUT Dodie, Ashley, Emilie and Jill - THANK YOU!  From the bottom of our hearts - THANK YOU!!  Pink Ink looks forward to a long relationship with all of you.  Oh, and to top it off, they are AMAZING stylists.  Just sayin.

The Face of Pink Ink thanks: 3 Ring Video

We are doing another weekend of gratitude.  Rita and I feel very fortunate to have had the support, love and kindness from so many professionals in the London community - Shelly Shepherd with www.100Things2do.blogspot.ca, Sherry Simoes & Jackie Greeves with WIBusiness, and Lindsey Piette with Angelic Images Photography.  However, although these strong, beautiful women have worked like mad to get this contest up and going for all of the phenomenal women that have participated so far, there is a member of the event team that have been silent but there presence is certainly strong.

 They are Pamela and Michael Clark from 3-Ring Video Productions.  This duo team, was introduced to us by Miss Sherri.  They contacted us and said - we want to produce a video for the FOPI contest because we believe in what you are doing.  They said that they wanted to ensure that women were able to see, hear and feel the experience of being part of the FOPI contest.  So, what did they do?  They took hours of their time, met with Rita, myself and the three winners of the 2013-2014 FOPI contest and put together a video to capture the light heartedness, beauty, and sincerity of what this contest is all about.  You may be asking, what is this contest all about?  Here is the answer:

It's something I believe in, particularly having gone through the "Your Image, Your Success" program with the Pink Ink Divas.

This is more than a beauty contest, it's a self-esteem, empowerment and image awareness contest that every woman should have the chance to partake in.

"MOMinations" - Nominate your favourite Mom!

My gals at Pink Ink have a contest coming up called "The Face of Pink Ink 2014".

It's not the contest so much that I'm endorsing (although I am a sponsor!) it's the experience that you could give to your Mom, wife, sister or bestie.

Let me break it down for you:

You nominate an amazing woman in your life by submitting a letter to info@pinkinkimage.com.  (there is a $99 fee - but wait till you see what that gets them!)

Pink Ink (or I) will then forward your nomination on to your nominee to let them know exactly how wonderful you think they are and to let them know what's in store:

• The nominee will get their hair professionally styled.
• They will have their make-up professionally applied
• They be dressed by professional stylists 
• They will be photographed in all their glory by a professional photographer who will give them a digital copy of their favourite image from the photo shoot.
• They will also receive a swag bag of goodies from some of the other sponsors of the event.

So that's the "What everyone gets" portion of the contest.

Tell me that doesn't sound like an amazing gift for someone special?
