Jasmina!!! Photographer for the Stars of LNO!

If you haven't yet, Ladies Night Out - A Red Carpet Affair - was DA BOMB!!!!! We had such an amazing time. Ladies came out fully dressed up in their evening best. Upon arrival they got blinged out by Park Lane Jewellery with Tammy and then their image was forever immortalised on the red carpet thanks to Kamini of Silent Poetry and her crew of paparazzi.

However, when you entered the room, there was a lady in there capturing the essence of the night - that lady was Jasmina. There is a back story to this phenomenal talent.

So Jasmina and I (Jen) have kids. Our kids go to the same bus stop. For any moms that bring your kids to the bus stop, you get to talking to people and overhear conversations. Well, one day, I overheard Miss Jasmina talking about her photography with another mom. My ears perked up because, well, we are ALWAYS looking for fresh talent. So the next day I brought a Ladies Night Out postcard with me to the bus stop and showed it to Jasmina. She immediately lit up. I suppose social media has been doing its job because Jasmina had heard about the event before I said anything to her. She was so excited and could not wait to join in on the fun.

Jasmina was the "interior photographer" meaning anything that happened inside of the room - Jasmina was the lady to capture it. And capture it she did. Take a look at this montage of photos she took to capture the evening - and apparently there is so much more to come, so keep an eye on the Pink Ink and Ladies Night Out pages in the coming weeks.

Who is Jasmina? She is a wife, a mother, and an amazing photographer. She started taking pictures at the age of six and was very influenced and supported by her family. Jasmina is a photographer that is inspired by people! She listens and captures the essence of what you want the picture to relay. She's truly a talented woman. Enough of our gushing - check out Jasmina's work on her website!

WOW!!! A night to remember

Heather (left) and Tammy - Park Lane

Ladies Night Out, A Red Carpet Affair was an evening that catered to women... And what an evening it was!! The first 50 ladies to arrive were lucky to get blinged out by Park Lane Jewellery with Tammy before walking the red carpet to the flashes of our many photographers!

The smiles were enormous and some of them really strutted their stuff! We used the excuse that we were organizers to walk down the carpet but in reality, we just wanted to join in on the fun!!! Stay tuned for some of our favourite images generously edited and provided by our volunteers.

The room was the picture of elegance and buzzing with excitement. All of the attendees were shining in their red carpet wear and making the rounds to see all of the wonderful items on offer from our fabulous vendors and silent auction contributors. It was all we could do to tear the ladies away from the shopping and schmoozing to be seated for the big program!

Kim Woodbridge from Fresh FM was the perfect MC for the event - truly dynamic. Her introduction set the tone for the evening with her bubbly personality and winning smile. It was such an honor to have Kim in attendance and in support of such a worthwhile event.
Saidat
Saidat showed us how she lives her message: One Person Can Make a Difference; Together We Can Can Change the World.

She encouraged, challenged and uplifted the room with her thought-provoking and positive message through speech and song.

The night could have ended there right? Well of course it didn't! 10 beautiful women hit the fashion runway modelling clothing
from Jockey P2PCarmina de Young, and
Juniper Dress Boutique.

Wow, they looked amazing.

And of course, we had to walk the catwalk ourselves. Too much fun! But we couldn't leave the stage just for the models! All of the women attending looked absolutely gorgeous and deserved to be celebrated, so they walked the catwalk too!!!

And the winner of the grand prize $2,500 diamond necklace from Poag JewellersYou won't believe it when I tell you!! None other than one of the mothers who are supported by Single Women in Motherhood. Serendipitous no?

Each lovely lady went home with a rose and a smile from this special night in support of SWIM.

There is so much to say about all of the amazing people who were involved in this spectacular event so stay tuned for more, including updates from our fantastic vendors, sponsors and volunteers.

To all of the lovely ladies who joined us to celebrate and support this night, we thank you. Comment below with your favourite part of the evening. And we want to see all of your pictures too! Head on over to the Ladies Night Out Event Page to post and share.

Juniper

Some may not know, but will surely find out, what an amazing team of ladies there are at Juniper Boutique.

At the healm is Jennifer (love the name by the way).  Some of you may be asking, what the heck is Jen (Pink Ink Jen) talking about?  Ok, let me back up.  Let's rewind!!!

In 1975, Jennifer A. was born into the world....  OH WAIT!  Not that far back?  LOL  Ok, let me get serious.

Last year, Pink Ink co-hosted an event to support the London Anti-Bullying Coalition.

We had a small competition for a youth to audition and sing at the event.  There were some budding stars who performed like Saidat, Brooklyn Roebuck and Austin Price to name but a few.

Anyways, the young girl that won, Victoria Zubick, was going to perform in front of an audience for the first time.
We wanted her to feel glamorous and special.

We heard of this boutique called Juniper so we went and spoke with the owner.  Without a bat of the eye, Jennifer offered to outfit our young star in two GORGEOUS gowns.  Amazing!!!

Here's a sample of what they carry:

This year, Pink Ink and London Mompreneurs are hosting an event to support Single Women in Motherhood (SWIM).  We felt we wanted to do a fashion show this year.  When it comes to evening gowns where else were we going to go other than Juniper?!

Again, we approached Jennifer.  With a big grin on her face she said "Sure we will help out!  Why not?!".  Now Juniper not only is "helping out", they assigned one of their stylists to fit all of the models prior to the event AND to attend the event AND help outfit the ladies AT the event.

Juniper has advertised the event for us.

Juniper has opened up their doors to support an event that supports mothers to raise strong and healthy children.

Whatever we ask of Juniper the response is always "Sure, no problem".  From the bottom of our hearts we want to say THANK YOU!!  You have been phenomenal and you have added a piece of elegance to the evening that otherwise may not have been there.  MUAH!

Let's tell you a bit about Juniper.  Juniper boutique is located in the North West par to the city of London on Fanshawe Park Road by Wonderland.  As their daughter graduated from grade 8, Jen and Jeff Bibbings experienced the excitement, and the challenges, of grad shopping.  They fell in love with the idea of creating a unique place where ladies of all ages could discover designer dresses from around the world, and share in the celebration of finding "the" dress.  That place is Juniper Dress Boutique, names after Jen's childhood nickname, Juniper.  A graduate in Fine Arts at the University of Ottawa, Jen brings her artistic touch to every facet of the Juniper experience.

Thank you Juniper (Jennifer and Ashley).  We appreciate you and what you do with big and open hearts.
Ladies Night Out - A Red Carpet Affair will be taking place Friday, October 17th.  Doors open at 6:30pm.  Silent Auction, Dinner, Fashion Show, Shopping, Guest Speaker (Saidat!!) and so much more!!  If you would like to attend please send your contact information and someone will be in touch with you right away.
